RA is produced in a relative young winery called Dehesa de Valdelaguna. The winemaker Rafa Asenjo from Peñafiel, is a relevant wine-grower of the Ribera del Duero that stand for quality. There is only a small and select production to garantee the best grapes for the wine. After manual harvest the grapes are transported very carefully in some small crates which have a very limited capacity. When the harvest is finished the RA is made in barrels of diferent kind of wood for the right ageing.
